The intersection
Artemis Studio was founded on a simple observation. The independent sector has no shortage of capital and no shortage of scripts. What it lacks is the operational judgement that decides whether a budget survives contact with a schedule, and that judgement is not something a spreadsheet supplies.
The studio’s founding principal spent three decades in Hollywood physical production, on the floor rather than in the abstract. That experience is the reason Artemis structures projects the way it does: the questions that sink independent films are asked at development, not in the third week of principal photography.
The studio operates trans-Atlantically, developing premium feature and episodic properties from Los Angeles for the international market, with a European counterpart in formation.
Method
Ground Truth
Technology is a tool for the artist, not a replacement for one. Virtual production, AI-assisted pipelines and modern workflows can remove enormous logistical friction, but only when someone in the room knows what they are replacing and what they are not.
Ground Truth is the practice of putting physical-production judgement in front of those tools. It is what keeps production value on the screen while below-the-line cost stays controlled, and it is what stops a technically impressive plan from being an unshootable one.

Pipelines that merge physical sets with virtual environments, specified by people who have built both.

Co-production treaties, international tax credits and soft money treated as part of the creative brief rather than a later adjustment.
Compliance
Union labour, chain of title, and the handling of AI rights and consent, treated as production infrastructure rather than paperwork.
Capital
Artemis approaches film finance as a structured alternative asset class rather than as funding. Vehicles are built to prioritise capital preservation through soft money, pre-sales and minimum guarantees, and every property on the slate is originated and owned in house rather than optioned, which keeps the chain of title short and the rights position clean.
Finance structure, recoupment terms and budget detail are provided to qualified parties under non-disclosure. Principals, credentials and full track record are provided on the same basis.
